Mode of action:
Profenofos inhibits acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme that is essential for nerve function in insects. When acetylcholinesterase is inhibited, acetylcholine builds up in the insect's body, causing paralysis and death. Fenpyroximate is a contact and stomach acaricide. It belongs to the METI (Mitochondrion Electron Transport Inhibition) compound group, which helps in disruption of the energy generation process. Prior to knockdown and death, mites treated with Fenpyroximate get paralyzed on the leaf.
